Store Korsnes

Tyske kystfort i Finnmark 1940 - 1944. Da de tyske styrkene trakk seg tilbake fra Russland ble alle kystfortene nord for Skjervøy destruert. Mange av kystfortene kom også i harde kamper før tilbaketrekningen.

På bilde Sk2 ser du en kanonstilling for Store Korsnes I til venstre (schwere Drehbettung) og en kanonstilling for Store Korsnes II til høyre (bettung f. Dopp.Laf.C/36)

Storekorsnes-kanon er på vei tilbake til Alta. Ikke på sitt opprinnelige kystfort, men over fjorden i Kåfjord, på trygg og solid krigshistorisk grunn ved Tirpitz-museet.

Vedlegger et kart fra Store Korsnes, er det noen som kan bekrefte det som er inn tegnet på kartet det er datert 24.11.43
