Festung Kristiansand - Hægland

Flere større grupper av kystfort i Mandal, Kristiansand og Arendal. De største kystfortene var konsentrert rundt festningsbyen Kristiansand. Flyplassen på Lista var også et viktig område å forsvare.

Hello, I have a question about a very small bunker locations near Kristiaansand - Hægland.

This summer we were on our way from Kristiaansand to Floro for a bunker trip. We stopped at a hytte in Haergrland and the next day we passed a bunker along the road. We found two building and some remain of probably a gun. I add some pictures to the message.
The GPS coordinates are N58 19.588 E7 52.961

Who can help us with this locations: the name and number, what the functions was and the type of buildings there where/are.

Thanks for any help, regards,

Raphael Smid

This area was designated as a Ausweichsstelle for divisional supply units around 1941 and later as a Gefechtsstand for 214. Inf-Div., and several small storage camps were placed here. Perhaps this ruin is a remain from one of those camps. Can't help you with the gun remains, sorry.

In my opinion, this seems like some remains of an old farming-equipment or similar. The complete text on the side would probably be a clue, but I can see "verk" as the last word and that could be some norwegian firm for iron-casting/ mechanical manufacture..?

EDIT: Having enlarged the picture, I'm pretty sure it says "Eidsfoss verk", an old iron-work:
