Hello
Thank you Rolf for Your interesting postings With details of the Küwas, MSS and Küstenhorchanlagen in Norway.
As mentioned by Tarjei the KHA Bergen-Süd was at Korsneset, close to MAA 6/504.
Addeda photo that shows the position of the barracks to the men of the KHA Bergen Süd.

Interesting. What kind of listeningdevices were in use at these sites?

I'm sure I have read somewhere that only 13 KHA-sets were produced, but when you add these sites to the ones already known (ref the US Seacoast Defence-report and other info found in NARA T-1022 ++), the number of KHA-locations in Norway and Denmark will probably exceed 20.

Is 13 sets correct or were there more than one type of equipment in use?

Sorry, I don't have any further information about the KHA's.

I just thought, this could be interesting for you and I wanted to
give something back after you helped me with the MPHS in Norway. :-D

I have checked some of the available documentation, and it seems there were at least two different systems (maybe more) designated "KHA", but I suspect some confusion on this topic due to the term "Küstenhorchanlagen / KHA" might have been used both as a designation for a specific type of listening device, as well as a genereal term for this type of unit..?

Hi!

One more information I found in "Geheimer Ostseetagesbefehl" (Geh OTB)

Geh OTB October 1941 (sorry, no No. or date):
Inbetriebnahme K.H.A. Narvik

In Narvik ist eine K.H.A. in Betrieb genommen worden.

Positionen:
1. Grundgestell Narvik-Süd (bei Skarstadtfoten)
68° 22' 27" Nord, 16° 16' 11" Ost.
Kabellandepunkt:
68° 22' 32" Nord, 16° 17' 43" Ost.

2. Grundgestell Narvik-Nord (bei Rusvik)
68° 24' 38" Nord, 16° 16' 47" Ost.
Kabellandepunkt:
68° 24' 06" Nord, 16° 17' 33" Ost.

Best wishes
Rolf

Interesting - I think this must have been the first KHA-installation in the Ofotfiord, later replaced by the installation at Barøya, a bit further west (just from the top of my head, I might remember it wrongly. I reckon Thomas L knows for sure...)?

Correction of "Kabellandepunkt Narvik/Nord bei Rusvik" from "Geheimer Ostsee-Tagesbefehl" 20.Dec.1941:
68 Grad 25 Min. 6 Sek. Nord, 16 Grad 17 Min. 33 Sek. Ost.
