Hi,

I was checking satelite images of this site and saw that there are 2 battery's and FuMG Bär was located in this area.
I think the battery on the right is HKB 3/480, in the middle FuMG Bär (by the water) and now my question is, what is the battery on the left ?

Is it a part of 3/480 or a different battery ?

I don't have any information, but looking at the remains (if they in fact are actual remains from german WW2 activity), I think they appear similar to some of the Flak-positions seen elsewhere in Finnmark. So, perhaps a Flak-battery?

Hallo

Indeed FuMG Bär and a 88 cm Flak battery. Even further right on your map there are also remains of a 3,7 cm Flak Battery and some close defence positions. Rather poor constructions, and everything was blown up in -44.

Is this flak battery part of FuMG Bär / HKB 3/480 or a seperate one ?.
Looks to me that is was part of Bär for defence, but i can be wrong.

Hallo

As far as I know, no radar positions in Norway had 8,8 cm in their arsenal!

This battery most likely belongs to the defence of Flugplatzkommando Berlevaag , which by february 1943 had 1 x 8,8cm battery, 2 Züge 3,7cm Flak and 2 züge 2 cm Flak.

Thank you. I will try to find more data about it.
