Hei everybody
I moved to the Namsos area in 2018.
Lots of voices talk about the remainings of a “big gun” a Russian prisoner camp, and a FLAK battery in Selnes, between Namsos and Bangsund.
Unfortunately I have not been able to find maps, pictures, coordinates or any physical buildings in Selnes.
About myself: I have been operating the website www.bunker-suisse.ch since 2005 and expanded it ever since.
So if anybody has any detailed informations about Selnes, i will be more then glad to search the site and share any pictures resulting of my search.
Don’t be shy guys
Happy to read any reactions!!

It's probably Utvorden Süd you're looking for:

Don't think so... It's more likely references to Landesabwehrzug Selnes, that had two 10,5cm guns (and a FLAK-battery..?). I doubt that there are any remains from the installations or - especially - the guns (at least none mentioned at the forum).TommyG wrote:It's probably Utvorden Süd you're looking for:

What constitutes "big gun" is debateable, and the three remaining guns at Utvorden Süd are obvioulsy more deserving that description.

Thanks guys!
Know similar maps from the Maginot Line.
Not very happy with that material, because even if you play around with overlaping it with google or 1881 maps, you never come to any precise result.
Anyone has ever visited anything in this area in person? Are there coordinates? Pictures?
...but I think I found something on the pictures, which I will check out, as soon as the rain calms down - Jeg vet: Velkommen til Nord-Trøndelag

I don't think it's hard to get a proper alignment of the map?Bunker-Suisse wrote:Not very happy with that material, because even if you play around with overlaping it with google or 1881 maps, you never come to any precise result.

However, it's doubtful they made a lot of permanent installations here in the first place, so chances are probably slim to find something anyway.
At least - due to 75 years with growth and development of buildings and agriculture - there's not a large area to explore for possible remains.

Denne forseggjorte stillingen befinner seg på Selnes. Er Ivar Amundsen som er fotograf, og nøyaktig stedsbeskrivelsen er pr nå for meg ukjent. Hvilken stilling er det?
